We aimed to transform Durham Community Health Centre's website into an accessible platform for users of varying technical abilities. We integrated a user-friendly events calendar to promote health education and a secure donation portal to support community health initiatives, ensuring easy updates and secure transactions.

Our design team used Figma to create high-fidelity mockups, ensuring consistency with DCHC’s existing brand standards guidelines. For the website development, we employed WordPress as our primary platform, incorporating secure integrations for an interactive events calendar and a robust donation portal to enhance community engagement and support.

Promoting Careers in the Community

The Careers page positions DCHC as a prime employer by showcasing impactful community roles. Utilizing Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and a custom template, the page enables easy management and searchability of career opportunities, with detailed job descriptions and downloadable PDFs for offline review.

Accepting Donations Securely

The Donations page facilitates contributions from individuals and corporations to DCHC, emphasizing the tangible community impact. It offers various donation options — single, recurring, and memorial/tributes — integrated securely with the client’s preferred donation processing platform, providing receipts and supporting the centre’s ongoing charitable efforts.

Community Events Calendar

The Events Calendar promotes wellness through diverse, community-centric programs. Users can filter events by tags, accessing tailored offerings like POC health, babysitting training, 2SLGBTQI wellness, diabetes education, and fundraisers.
